Yes, for sure, finding the right platform is key. I think if writing were my medium of choice (and if I was more of a broadcaster than a community-builder) then Substack would be a consideration, but my mainstay is in video and photography and the way I want to interact with people on a subscription basis is in more personalized and interactive ways. Substack tends to be more outgoing-only and lacks the kind of immediate engagement-driven tools that Meta has put into Instagram. But, to be sure, sometimes I wish that I could just be a writer! :)

I also have a whole ambivalence thing going on over newsletters right now. Not sure if I can put my finger on it, but there's something strange about it to me. I'll have to do some soul-searching to figure out what makes me feel that way. But for now, thank you so much for the thoughts and discussion!
