Hi Charles. Good question. I think it's just a whole ton of PR, to put it simply. There is just so much talent out there - more photographers than are needed, really. And in this day and age, there are very few styles that couldn't be emulated, if asked. To stand out, you need a name, a brand, good SEO, engagement, press, AND incredible work that has a sort-of singularity to it, so that it's immediately recognizable and sought after within its genre.
