Five Big Thoughts on the Nikon Z9

“Sean,” Straight Out Of Camera, Z9. Photo by Josh S. Rose, 2022.

When my business partner, Sean, picked up and turned on my Z9 for the first time, he blinked a few times. “This is different,” he said. “It just feels different.” Reviewers use words like “big,” “hefty” and “bulky,” which have negative connotations. They bemoan its inability to fit nicely onto a small gimbal. Fair enough. Fair enough. But just hold one and turn it on. You’ll blink, too. It does feel different.
